The Cryptid Files: Loch Ness

Book cover design for The Cryptid Files: Loch Ness by Jean Flitcroft for Little Island books. The cover needed to be eerie and mysterious and to suggest the monster. Children age 9+ are the intended audience and the design of the cover is inspired by a piece from the book which describes the mysterious glowing green and the magical world underwater where Nessie lives.

Character design

Characters designed for educational computer programme aimed at children and for use in the classroom. Each character is from a different period in Irish history, viking times, the medieval era and early 19th Century.

Irish Gothloli

This project was based upon the life and style of a friend from Kenmare Co. Kerry, who dresses in clothing inspired by Japanese Gothic Lolita fashion. This fashion is quite darkly themed and includes items of lace, ribbons, frills, tiny hats, platform knee-high boots, Stripy knee high socks and includes features such as  long dark hair, dark make-up. These images aim to show the contrast between her gothic fantasy and the Irish countryside.
